To register with the NDCA, please start by providing your first and last name, as well as a valid email address and password to use for logging in and managing your registration. All fields must be filled in before you can continue.

A professional dancer is someone who's primary source of income is earned through teaching, performing, and other dance-related activities. The following licenses are available to professional dancers:
The following licenses are available to you as an amateur. Select the ones that apply to you, adding options where applicable. Note that amateur competitor and pro-am student licenses are available to everyone, whereas certain other licenses such as scrutineers require appropriate credentials. An amateur competitor license allows you to enroll in amateur divisions at any NDCA-approved competition. The amateur competitor license also includes a pro-am student license.
A pro-am student license allows you to enroll as the amateur in a pro-am partnership at any NDCA-approved competition. If you plan to enroll in both pro-am and amateur-amateur divisions, you should select the amateur competitor license.
A professional competitor license allows you to enroll both in professional divisions, and as the professional in a pro-am partnership in the pro-am divisions at any NDCA-approved competition.
An adjudicator license allows you to be hired by NDCA-approved competitions to judge events. Note that appropriate credentials are required to obtain an adjudicator license. The next step of registration will allow you to submit your credentials.
Additional licenses including Competition Registrar, Scrutineer, Emcee and Music Director are also available.
An invigilator license allows you to be hired by NDCA-approved competitions to perform the duties of an invigilator, including the enforcement of syllabus-appropriate materials danced in syllabus events. Note that an invigilator license requires an adjudicator license with the appropriate credentials.
A competition registrar license allows you to be hired by NDCA-approved competitions to perform the duties of a registrar, including the receiving and processing of competition entries.
A scrutineer license allows you to be hired by NDCA-approved competitions to perform the duties of a scrutineer, including the tabulating of competitor marks. Note that appropriate credentials are required to obtain a scrutineer license.
A chairman of judges license allows you to be hired by NDCA-approved competitions to perform the duties of a chairman or head judge, overseeing the entire judging panel. Note that a chairman license requires an adjudicator license with the appropriate credentials. *This license can only be assigned by the NDCA.
An emcee license allows you to be hired by NDCA-approved competitions to perform the duties of an emcee.
A music director license allows you to be hired by NDCA-approved competitions to perform the duties of a music director / deejay.
A competition organizer license allows you to organize or co-organize one or more NDCA-approved competitions. Note that the competition organizer license fee does not include the licensing fees for the competitions themselves.
Professionals who wish to compete and/or judge outside the United States must register with the World Dance Council through the NDCA. Note that in order to register as a WDC adjudicator, you must also be registered as an NDCA adjudicator above.
You have selected a license that allows you to provide professional credentials. If you have any, please check those that apply to you, indicating the certifying organization, level, and department (Ballroom, Latin, Smooth, Rhythm, or Performing Arts). Otherwise, you can skip this step.
You have selected an Adjudicator and/or Invigilator license that requires you to provide professional credentials for certification in 4 dance style categories (Ballroom, Latin, Smooth and Rhythm). For each style, please indicate the certifying organization and level of certification. If you do not have these credentials, you can Remove the Adjudicator License.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: The credentials that you select in this licensing process will not appear on the NDCA website until they have been reviewed and approved by the NDCA Credentials Committee Review Board. Please send a scanned copy of your examination papers for each qualification that you are requesting to Diana McDonald, the Chairman of the Review Board, at dmcdndca@aol.com. This will expedite the review process for your application.
Professionals: Check this option to prevent your mailing address and telephone number from being shared in the NDCA directory. This applies to professional competitors ONLY -- Amateurs and pro-am students' contact info is excluded regardless.
Check this option if you would like to be contacted by competition organizers with info about upcoming events. You may be contacted by postal mail or email.
Returning registrants: Click the Renew button below to renew an existing registration. If you are unsure whether you registered previously, try renewing first.
If you registered previously, you can click the button below to log in with your email address and password. Logging in allows you to update your information and account settings, and add or modify licenses and credentials.
"Quick Renew" allows you to skip the log-in process altogether and renew registration for yourself or others. Note that you can only renew your registration; There is no option to modify your existing information on file.
To renew an existing member, type a name or any relevant search terms such as city, state, email or NDCA number, and click search. Then locate the the person you wish to renew in the search results and click on their name to add them to your Quick Renew list.
If a member is not yet due for renewal, you will not yet be able to add them to your Quick Renew List. Please try again on or after the date specified. If a member has a "Re-Renew" message, there was a problem calculating license fees. In this case, please submit a New Registration for this member.
Your choice to become an NDCA Licensed Official carries with it certain responsibilities as enumerated in the NDCA Rule Book, and specifically requires your adherence to these rules. Therefore, prior to the issuance of an NDCA “Official's License” (“License”), you must agree to the following:
