In a July 21, 2011 "NDCA Executive Committee Release" approval was given for events with a history of running for more than five years to be authorized to hire NDCA licensed judges and officials. Since that time four events that are not linked to an educational institution have been approved by the Executive Committee. Those events are "Arnold DanceSport Classic" (began in 2010, approved February, 2017), "Dance Passion Ball" (Began in 2002, approved January, 2015), "Liberty Ball" (began in 2015, approvred January 2020), and "Nyemchek's Junior All-Star DanceSport" (Began in 1996, approved August, 2011).
